How do you get back up after a set-back?

The good trader through positive self-talk reminds himself of his past successes and concentrates on the trades that are working presently for him. Visualise making successful trades, then take it one good trade at a time. – One Good Trade, Mike Bellafiore

The good trader finds an escape. The good trader competes. The good trader stays focused.

Get out of your own way.

Be careful what you tolerate. Set a maximum stop loss with your broker, if that is not possible have an EA to manually close out all open positions if the draw-down reaches x% – you will thank yourself later. Failure is not an option.

A trader does not slip from trading successfully for five consecutive years to being unable to trade profitably anymore. That is unless you get in your own way.

Become the Money Maker. Stay Focused. Say, I will be successful. Period. Failing is not an option for me.

It’s you against you everyday. Make sure the right you wins.

Dare to be alone, that’s when ideas are born. Go beyond your limits.

Create an Escape.

Record all of your trades. Review and watch your trades often, learn from your mistakes, capitalize on your successes. This will be your escape. Let life surprise you.

Remember. The harder you work for something, the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it.

The shortcut is a lie.

The shortcut is a lie, the hack doesn’t get you there, and if you want to take the easy road, it will not take you where you want to be. To reach goals and overcome obstacles and be the best version of you possible, will not happen by itself. It will not happen cutting corners, taking shortcuts or looking for the easy way. There is no easy way.

There is only hard work, late nights, early mornings, practice, rehearsal, repetition, study, sweat, blood, toil, frustration and discipline. Discipline the root of all good qualities. The driver of daily execution. Discipline defeats the infinite excuses that say, not today, not now, I need a rest, I’ll do it tomorrow. There is only one way, the way of discipline.

I’m not working, I’m doing what I love.

I may not be there yet, but I’m closer than I was yesterday.

If in your life you succeed more than others. Build a bigger table, not a higher wall.
